Coffee Around the World

The history of coffee in surrounded by great stories and myths. Common belief is that coffee originated in the Ethiopian province of Kaldi. According to legend, a sheep herder named Kaldi observed that when the sheep that he was watching over would become very hyperactive after eating from a native plant. Kaldi became curious of what the affects may be on humans, after trying the plant himself he realized that he to became hyperactive. This is why the Etheopian province Kaffa, which continues to be a major coffee growing area has claim to being the place that coffee received its name from.

Another claim to the origination of coffee is that it comes from Yemen. An Arabian named Omar is said to have had his followers banished to the desert, where they would be left to starve. Not willing to die without a fight, Omar and his followers realized that their survival depended on the fruit of an unknown plant. Omar and his followers were able to fight off starvation by cooking the unknown plant and consuming it. There survival was viewed by many as a religious sign by the towns people of a nearby town called Mocha, the town that is known for having produced the first coffee beans that continue to grow in popularity each day.

Hot Stock Picks - Evaluating Popular Securities

One thing that most new investors usually have plenty of is excitement. When you're new to the world of stock market trading, it seems like there are endless opportunities for making your hard earned money work even harder to become lasting wealth. It's true that the basic principles governing the stock market haven't really changed in over two hundred years, and are fairly simply to comprehend, even if you're not a financial expert or mathematics whiz. The hard part for most new investors isn't finding their motivation; it's not letting it get the best of them when they run across so-called hot stock picks.
It's true that many people have a skewed perception of how things work in the stock market. They've watched television programs that show dramatizations of the chaos on the trading floor, and luck first time traders making a miracle decision to buy or sell a stock that turns them into a millionaire overnight. The truth is that real wealth is rarely ever made this quickly on the stock market. However, choosing the wrong hot stock picks can definitely cause you to lose your money overnight.
If you're thinking that it's going to be impossible to know which hot stock picks you should pay attention to, and which once you should avoid, it's important to realize that there are many evaluation tools available to help you decide whether a stock really has potential to grow like you want it to in the future. One of the most important tools that investors use is called technical analysis, and ongoing system of stock market tracking and price point monitoring that helps investors make educated predictions about what a stock is likely to do in the future, based on how it has performed in the past.
The great thing about technical analysis is that you can use it as a method for checking popular recommendations for hot stock picks against the reality of how they are likely to perform. All you have to do is take a look at the last month, three months or a year of a stock's performance, and you'll immediately start to notice trends and patterns that can be interpreted for their future impact. It's true that there are some bubble stocks and high risk penny stocks that can make you a lot of money in a short period of time, but more often than not, these securities fail to meet expectations over the long run.

Green Tea Benefit - Get The Full Benefit Of Green Tea By Making It Correctly

Green tea drinkers are frequently wondering how to make green tea correctly. The fact of the matter is if you don't make green tea properly you won't get the manybenefits of green tea. This article will discuss how to get the full benefit of green tea by learning how to make it correctly.Green tea leaves need to be handled gently, just as you would handle fresh fruits and vegetables. It's important that the loose leaf green tea leaves are handled very gently in order to preserve their integrity and to reap full benefits. When it comes to making green tea, spring water is a recommended choice, then followed by filtered water. I would recommend that you never use distilled water of any kind when you make green tea. Distilled water and green tea would be flat without the essential minerals. In order to make the best loose leaf green tea I recommend using a small food scale. If you are brewing green tea in a small teapot then measure 3 grams of tea for every 5 ounces of water on the scales. If you are not using spring water then measure on the scales 4 grams of tea for every 8 ounces of water.
Tea pots come in a large variety of shapes and sizes so it is recommended that you accurately measure the water in a measuring cup so that you have the accurate amount of green tea leaves per water. It is also important to bear in mind that loose leaf tea quantities will have different weights. For example, small, dense loose leaf green tea will weigh a lot more than larger leaves in a teaspoon. Your green tea drink will reflect this variation. Additionally, it may be enough for your green tea to only use one teaspoon of small, dense loose leaf green tea. On the other hand, if you are using larger green tea leaves you may need to use a few teaspoons for a comparable cup of tea. It is also recommended that green teas should be made from water at a much lower temperature than boiling point and should be brewed for less time than normal black and oolong teas.
The best water temperature for making green tea is between 79 and 85 degrees celcius. In order to make the best green tea it is recommended that you let the water just reach boiling point and then cool it down to the perfect green tea temperature mentioned above. Until you have perfected the time it actually takes to reach the ideal temperature of between 79 and 85 degrees Celsius I would suggest that you use a cheap candy thermometer for this purpose that is usually readily available. The ideal brewing time for green tea is not long at all. In fact, in general between 30 and 60 seconds is usually ideal. However, certain green tea brands have different requirements. For example, Chinese Dragonwell teas are best after being infused for 7 minutes and Nilgiri and Darjeeling green teas are usually ideal after 3-4 minutes. In order to make the best green tea I would also suggest that you pour the green tea over a tea strainer even though high quality green tea loose leaves will usually sink to the bottom of your tea cup.Of course, it is easier preparing green tea by using green tea bags, however, the same water temperature requirements apply. It is always important to make your green tea cooler than hot but warmer than tepid temperature.
Now to learn all the benefits of green tea and everything you've ever wanted to know about green tea. There are also other ways of enjoying green tea. One common way is by drinking an iced green tea drink. To make an iced green tea correctly take four green tea tea bags and brew them in boiling water for around 3 minutes. Allow the green tea to cool and place into a small pitcher. Continue to add water to this iced green tea until it turns a pale yellow color. Sugar can also be added if you wish but don't use too much. Green tea beverages don't have to be enjoyed on their own either. There are many ingredients that you can add to your green tea when making it that will make it even more delicious. Some ingredients that can be added when you make your green tea include honey, spearmint, sliced ginger and lemon. When using honey add just one teaspoon for every cup of green tea, brew the tea, allow it to cool and then pour over ice cubes. It's also very easy to make a delicious chai green tea by simply steeping green tea in hot vanilla soy milk and then adding a dash of ginger, allspice, cinnamon and black pepper on top.

Fresh Coffee Grounds - Flavor and Freshness That Cannot Be Topped

Providing yourself with fresh coffee grounds is one of the easiest things to do because of the fact that making them with a grinder is so simple and can be done in a very short period of time. Two of the main factors that this is made possible include the fact that you can achieve the most freshness in your coffee by using beans, and by using fresh ground coffee instead of store bought coffee grounds which often lack the flavor that fresh grounds can provide.
The most amount of flavor, or the freshest flavor can be found within the coffee bean before it has be ground up, which means that you do not begin to lose any flavor until you actually grind the bean with a coffee bean grinder. The bean goes through the entire process of being picked, packed, and shipped and never releases flavor until you grind them yourself. This allows you to get the most freshness out of your supply.
Store bought grounds often have an extended shelf life and because they have been ground up before being packed, there is an extended time frame during which flavor is being lost. Even though the whole beans and the grounds may sit on the store shelf for the same amount of time, there is less freshness lost out of the whole beans because of the fact that there is sort of a seal that is created around the beans which does not allow the flavor to be released until the grinding process takes place. Pre ground coffee begins losing flavor immediately, which can result in poorly tasting grounds if left on the shelf too long.
Grinding coffee beans will give you the opportunity of enjoying fresh, great tasting coffee each and every time. There are different types of grinders that you can use to grind beans including antique coffee grinders and even the newer electric models. No matter which type of grounder you use, you'll be able to enjoy the most delightful cup of coffee when you grind your own coffee beans.

How Buying an Espresso Machine Actually Saves You Money

There are many people who will laugh at those who spend money on a good espresso machine, saying that they are doing nothing other than wasting their money. The thing is though, if you are someone who loves a little espresso every day, you are spending more money if you do not invest in a machine of your own.
Just think about how much money you spend at your fancy coffee shop each day. Now figure out how much that adds up to at the end of a year. How much are you spending in ten years? When you really start to think about the amount of money that you spend on espresso each day, it might just make you sick. Each day is affordable but when you add it all up, you will find that it would be unwise to not invest in your own espresso machine.
The average person usually spends over a thousand dollars a year on espresso. You might not think that you do but if you are spending at least five dollars a day, five days a week, at your fancy coffee shop, then you are spending around thirteen hundred dollars. This is probably a shocker to a lot of people as they never stopped to think about how quickly all those little espressos add up to be.
When you own your own espresso machine, you are not just saving yourself money but you are also providing yourself with another way to give your friends and family a special treat when they come over.
How nice would it be to give your guests some espresso when they come over? How many people can say that they have espresso to offer everyone? You can be the host with the most when it comes to providing your guests with the best drink options out there.

New Drug Application, and it Impact Drug Formulation Development in the USA?

The New Drug Application, or NDA, has been a cornerstone of the drug formulation development process in the USA for decades. A key requirement of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the NDA is primarily concerned with the regulation and control of new pharmaceutical products. Since the NDA was first introduced in 1938, each and every new drug has been required to be the subject of a successful NDA before being marketed and sold.
For an NDA to be successful, it must provide enough key information to help the FDA arrive at three key decisions. First, the FDA must be able to determine whether the prospective new drug is both effective and safe and whether the benefits derived from taking it outweigh any possible risks. Second, FDA reviewers need to be able to establish whether the drug's proposed packaging and labeling is appropriate. Lastly, the FDA has to be able to ascertain whether the final step in the development of the drug, the procedure used to make the production drug itself, and the various methods used to maintain the quality of production drugs can adequately preserve the strength, purity and quality of these medicines.
The legal requirement for NDA approval is evidence of a prospective new drug's efficacy through rigorous clinical trials, which run the gamut from tests conducted on volunteers to placebo-controlled, double-blind trials that may be conducted on large groups. In a nutshell, these trials seek to determine whether the benefits of a drug outweigh the risks from taking it and whether the instructions for its use are adequate. This is of prime importance not only for NDA approval but also for the drug formulation development process as a whole, since even the most commonly used drugs can be dangerous if used improperly.
